Women's Basketball Adds Ni'Yonna Asbelle to 2026 Signing Class

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Basketball has added Ni'Yonna Asbelle to its 2026 signing class, announced today (Tuesday, Nov. 18) by head coach Tynesha Lewis.
The Kershaw, S.C. native has helped Andrew Jackson High School to back-to-back AA South Carolina state championships averaging 20 points per game, six rebounds per game and six assists per game. She was also a 2024-25 AA All-State selection.
"Ny is a true game changer," said Coach Lewis. "Her size and skill as a big guard will make an immediate impact. We're incredibly grateful she chose the Bulldog family."
The Bulldogs return to the hardwood on Wednesday (Nov. 19) at Western Carolina for the latest installment of the Mountain Rivalry. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. from Cullowhee, N.C. with video, live stats, audio and tickets available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
