Baseball Welcomes 2025-26 Signing Class

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Baseball welcomes its 2025-26 signing class with 15 new players for the first season under interim head coach Alex Raburn in 2026.
"We're thrilled to welcome this group of 15 new Bulldogs to our program," said interim head coach Alex Raburn. "This class has a mixture of talented high school players and experienced junior college and transfer portal additions. Our staff worked extremely hard to find the right fits for our program. I'm excited to see this group's journey at UNC Asheville."
Gunnar Milsap | Left-Handed Pitcher | Cartersville, Ga. | SIU Edwardsville
Milsap joins the Bulldogs after one season at Georgia Highlands College. He was previously at SIU Edwardsville after being a two-year varsity letterwinner at Cartersville High School. He intends to study business administration.
Colin Woolard | Right-Handed Pitcher | Greenville, N.C. | Wayne Country Day
Woolard comes from Wayne Country Day, where he was a member of an AA state championship team in 2024 as well as a member of a runner-up team in the American Legion regional championship. He intends to study communications.
Ben Green | Infielder / Right-Handed Pitcher | Charlotte, N.C. | Hickory Grove Christian
Green joins the Bulldogs after a solid career at Hickory Grove Christian School. He was an All-Conference and an All-State selection, as well as a four-year varsity starter. He intends to study business.
Jack Torbett | Shortstop | Johnson City, Tenn. | Walters State CC
Torbett joins the Bulldogs after a stint at Walters State Community College, where he was a member of the 2024 NJCAA national runner-up team. Torbett also hit .405 as a sophomore, with 16 doubles, four triples and one home run. He was also the Region VII Tournament MVP. He intends to study business.
Landon Gross | Right-Handed Pitcher | Lexington, S.C. | USC Sumter
Gross comes to Asheville after starting at USC Sumter, where he was the 2025 Region X Reliever of the Year for the Fire Ants. He intends to study business.
Cooper Smith | Right-Handed Pitcher | Tallahassee, Fla. | Flagler College
Smith joins the Bulldogs from Division II Flagler College, where he finished second nationally in walks per nine innings (.78) and third nationally in strikeout to walk ratio. Earned the Academic Achievement Award in the Sport Management department in 2025. He intends to study business.
TJ Brooks | Right-Handed Pitcher | Crozet, Va. | James Madison
Brooks comes to Asheville from James Madison, where he was a member of the 2024 Dukes team that advanced to a NCAA regional final. He intends to study health sciences.
Owen Cannon | Right-Handed Pitcher/Infielder | Conover, N.C. | Newton-Conover HS
Cannon joins UNC Asheville from Newton-Conover High School. He intends to study economics.
Drew Turner | Right-Handed Pitcher | Downingtown, Pa. | Pittsburgh
Turner transfers from the University of Pittsburgh, after earning his spot as the all-time career strikeout leader at Downingtown West High School. He intends to study business.
Lucas Boesen | Right-Handed Pitcher | Las Vegas, Nev. | Utah
Boesen transfers in from Utah where he totaled 36.1 innings in 20 appearances after a stop at the College Southern Nevada, where he was the 2024 Region XVIII Pitcher of the Year, a First Team All-Region Selection and a Second Team All-American. He was also on the 2025 Utah High Performance Team. He intends to study business.
Tyler Parks | Catcher | Asheboro, N.C. | UNC Chapel Hill
Parks comes to Asheville after a stint at national power North Carolina. Prior to Chapel Hill, he was an All-Conference and All-Region player at Southwestern Randolph High School. He plans to study health sciences.
Jake Parham | Infielder | Asheville, N.C. | TC Roberson HS
Parham stays local in Asheville after a career as a three-time North Carolina 4A State Champion at TC Roberson High School. He was a MAC All-Conference selection, a North Carolina State Games participant and a WNC Hot Stove Award Winner, He was also a two-time Mountain Athletic Club Team of the Year Award, a two-time Perfect Game Preseason Atlantic Region All American and an eight-time Perfect Game All-Tournament selection. He plans to study business.
Zeb Swangim | Third Baseman/Outfielder | Fletcher, N.C. | TC Roberson HS
Swangim stays local in Asheville after being a three-time 4A state champion at TC Roberson High School. He was a prospect for the USA National Team trial in 2022, and a three-time All-Conference selection in baseball. He was also a First Team All-Conference selection in football in 2025, and a two-time selection to both the Top Prospect Games and the Border Battle. He represented section 8 in the State Games in 2023 and 2024 and was also the Offensive MVP in football in 2025. He earned the Skyland Volunteer Fire Department Award scholarship in 2025, and also earned the TC Roberson High School Baseball energy award in 2025. He plans to study business.
Noah Cannon | Right-Handed Pitcher | Conover, N.C. | Newton-Conover HS
Cannon joins his brother Owen from Newton-Conover High School. He plans to study environmental science.
Josh Williams | Outfielder | Florence, S.C. | North Greenville
Williams transfers in from Division II North Greenville University, where he played for the Crusaders for two seasons. He plans to study cyber security.
