Men's Tennis Performs at Queens (N.C.) Hidden Duals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis put on a solid performance at the Queens (N.C.) Hidden Duals over the weekend (Oct. 3-4).
Asheville posted two doubles wins against Wingate, before sweeping doubles play against Queens. For the weekend, the team went 7-3 in doubles play. Asheville posted one doubles win against Gardner-Webb, along with three singles wins against Queens. In addition, Asheville posted three singles wins against Wingate for the weekend.
"We improved a lot from last weekend and really played some great doubles going 7-3 with Sai and Griffin going undefeated at the top spot," said head coach Dustin Hale. "It was a tough weekend but we ended on a high note beating Queens 4-3 in an absolute battle. After winning the doubles point, Jip and Cian put points on the board at No. 2 and No. 3 with Leo clinching the match is a third set tiebreaker at No. 6. It was a great team win with great energy."
The Bulldogs return to action Oct. 16-20 for the ITA Carolina Regional championships hosted by Duke University in Cary, N.C.
