CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville freshman outside hitter Addie Brookbank has been named the Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday (Oct. 20).

The Barrington, Ill., native opened the weekend with a standout performance against High Point, notching her third double-double of the season with 14 kills and 19 digs. She followed that effort with another strong showing in Asheville's win over Radford, totaling 13 kills and adding four service aces, including the set-winning ace in the second set.
This marks her first Big South weekly honor.
