Marsh Earns Second Big South Player of the Week Recognition

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Jordan Marsh has been named the Big South Co-Player of the Week following his performance this past week. The league made the announcement on Monday (Jan. 20).
This is Marsh's second Player of the Week honor this season after earning the recognition on Jan. 6.
Marsh reached a new career-high of 32 points and eight assists in Asheville's victory over Winthrop on Saturday (Jan. 18). He tied the school record for free throw accuracy as he went 13-13. Three other members in program history have achieved a 13-13 free throw game: Paul Allen (1982-83), Tom Haus (1983-84), and Bryan Smithson (3-1-08). Marsh added seven rebounds, two steals, and one block to his Saturday stat line.
In Asheville's victory over Upstate on Wednesday (Jan. 15), Marsh scored 21 points, going 4-6 from 3-point range. Marsh scored Asheville's game-winning point with a free throw to help Asheville to victory.
On the week, Marsh averaged 26.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, shot .417 from the field, .500 from 3-point range, and .818 from the charity stripe. In conference play, Marsh is averaging 25.4 points per game, 4.2 rebounds, and is shooting .519 from the field, .421 from 3-point range, and .814 in free throws.
Marsh shares Player of the Week honors with Charleston Southern's Taje' Kelly. Presbyterian's Iverson King earned Freshman of the Week honors.
Marsh and the Bulldogs return to the court on Wednesday (Jan. 22) as Asheville travels to take on Gardner-Webb at 7 p.m.
