Women's Soccer Drops Matinee Affair to Queens (N.C.)

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -Â UNC Asheville Women's Soccer dropped its matinee affair to Queens (N.C.) by a score of 2-0 on Sunday (Sept. 15) at Greenwood Field.
Queens struck first in the 15th minute, despite Asheville winning the shot edge in the first half 5-3 before the Royals took their lead to the half. Asheville was unable to find the back of the net in the second half despite outshooting Queens 12-6 in the frame.

In total, Asheville outshot Queens 17-9 including 9-4 in shots on net. Asheville also outworked the Royals for corner kicks 7-3 in the match. Manuela Schreier and Nao Kawasaki each led the offense with three shots in the match, with Schreier matching her career-high. Jasmine Barry, Addie Cooper, Ava Bjorkman-Tracy and Azalea Mihailovich each had two shots in the contest. Daysha Chaney, Julia Hüsch and Reina Herndon each had one shot in the match.
