Caleb Burgess Signs With NTD Indigo

XAÇMAZ, AZERBAIJAN – Former UNC Asheville men's basketball player Caleb Burgess has agreed to sign a contract to continue his basketball career with NTD Indigo. Burgess graduated from Asheville in the spring of 2024 and helped lead the Bulldogs to their 2023 Big South Conference Championship Title.

NTD Indigo is located in Xaçmaz, Azerbaijan, and competes in the Azerbaijan Basketball League. This past season, the team finished third in the league.

Burgess started and played in all 34 games for Asheville this past season. He led the Big South Conference in assists (171) and assists per game (5.0) and ranked No. 44 in the nation in assists and No. 49 in APG.

In two seasons at Asheville, Burgess played 69 games, logged 1,750 minutes, and averaged 25.4 minutes per game. He shot .388 from the field, .294 from 3-point range, and 93-for-155 from the charity stripe to finish his career with 405 points. He also had 164 rebounds, 319 assists, and 50 steals.

Burgess is No. 10 in program history in career assists, tied with Jones Bamford (1974-78).
