Bruno Serra Named Big South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville senior Bruno Serra has been named the Big South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Wednesday, Apr. 17).
Asheville went 2-0 last week with a pair of 5-2 wins over Presbyterian (Apr. 8) and Tennessee Tech (Apr. 14)

Against Presbyterian, Serra clinched the doubles point teaming up with Tarek Erlewein for a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles before falling 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Against Tennessee Tech, he and Cian Ingles won Asheville's only doubles match 6-4 at No. 2 before he won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.

This is Serra's first career Player of the Week honor. The Burlington, N.C. native is a biology major with a double minor in neuroscience and Spanish.
