Isabel Richardson Named Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Week

BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Isabel Richardson of the UNC Asheville women's track and field team has been named the Big South Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Week. The league made the announcement on Wednesday (April 10). 

Richardson broke the school record in the women's 1500m on Friday at the Tennessee Invite. Richardson ran the 1500 in a time of 4:32.21 and finished the event in sixth place. The record was previously held by Sarah Gentry at 4:32.81 in 2013. 

Richardson and the rest of the track and field team will be in action this weekend as Asheville hosts the Asheville Bulldog Invite on Saturday, April 13, at the Karl Straus Track.
