MIAMI, Fla. - UNC Asheville's divers competed alongside Marshall and Florida International on Monday (Dec. 16), with Leigha Travis turning in an impressive day on the boards for the Bulldogs setting personal bests in both events.

Travis paced the Bulldogs in the three-meter event with a fifth-place finish and score of 225.95, while Amelia Ward finished sixth in the event with a mark of 219.95. Vivian Fougeron took eighth with a mark of 218.35, while Jade Canady finished 10th in 207.70. Kindal Culpepper finished 14th in the event with a score of 154.00.

Travis set her second personal-best of the day in the one-meter event with a score of 227.70, while Fougeron was Asheville's next best finisher with a mark of 223.60. Ward finished the event with a score of 197.05, while Canady (168.05) and Culpepper (147.15) also dove in the event.

"We want to thank FIU and Marshall for letting us dive with them yesterday," said diving coach Matthew Macon. "It is always a treat for us to compete outside and the crazy weather added to the fun. It was a breakthrough meet for Sophomore Leigha Travis, who led our team on both boards."

The Bulldogs (2-2) are back in action on Thursday (Dec. 19) at Florida Gulf Coast for a quad meet featuring Tulane and Indiana State. The action begins at 10:00 a.m. from Ft. Myers, Fla.
