KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - UNC Asheville's divers finished the first day of the Tennessee Invitational on Wednesday (Nov. 20) at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

Five Bulldogs competed in the one-meter competition on the day.

Asheville was paced by freshman Vivian Fougeron placing 14th with a score of 213.65, while Jade Canady took 15th with a score of 202.60. Fougeron's mark lands her fourth on the all-time performer list in program history. Leigha Travis placed 17th with a score of 190.85, while Amelia Ward took 18th with a mark of 183.85 and Kindal Culpepper rounded out the top 20 with a mark of 153.35.

"It was great to be at UT and get back on the boards," said diving coach Matthew Macon. "In spite of limited training, our divers performed well, lead by Freshman Vivian Fougeron who just missed making finals by five points. We look forward to competing in the three-meter competition tomorrow."
