Women's Soccer Season Ends in Big South Conference Tournament Quarterfinal

RADFORD, Va. - UNC Asheville Women's Soccer saw its season end in the Big South Conference tournament quarterfinal in a 3-0 loss to 3-seed Radford Saturday night (Nov. 2).

The teams traded chances throughout the first 15 minutes, before a Radford rush down the near wing and a cross into the box created the game's first goal for a 1-0 Radford lead. Radford would score again in the 25th minute, before taking a 2-0 lead to the break.

Radford would score again in the 68th minute to bring the match to its final score.

Asheville totaled six shots in the match including four on goal. Azalea Mihailovich paced the offense with two shots in the match while Mercedes McNabb, Daysha Chaney, Julia Hüsch and Reina Herndon each had one shot in the contest. Gracie Murray made five saves between the pipes.
