Cackovic Named Big South Co-Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville sophomore Kylie Cackovic has been named the Big South Conference Co-Player of the Week following her performance this past weekend. The league made the announcement on Monday (Oct. 28).
Cackovic had a career-high 19 kills and had the game-winning kill in Asheville's thrilling five-set victory over Radford on Saturday. Cackovic also recorded a team-high nine kills against High Point on Friday and finished the weekend with a .247 attack percentage after hitting a .247 against Radford. Cackovic added 17 digs to her weekend stat line.
Cackovic leads Asheville with 180 kills, averages 3.27 a set, and is No. 3 in the league in kills and in points with 202 (3.67 avg/s).
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 28, as they face Gardner-Webb at 6 p.m. in Boiling Springs. They will then return to Asheville to host Charleston Southern on Friday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. and Presbyterian on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m.
