ROCK HILL, S.C. -Â UNC Asheville Men's Tennis wrapped up play at the Big South Conference Individual Championships on Saturday (Oct. 26).

Freddy Murray dropped his quarterfinal match to David Mamalat of Presbyterian, while Sai Gandepalli and Cian Ingles picked up an 8-7 (7-5) win over Longwood's Alejandro Uribe and Mauricio Gonzalez Paiva. Gandepalli would also pick up a consolation win in singles 6-4, 6-4 over Pedro Cardoso of Presbyterian.

"It was definitely not the results we were looking for," said head coach Matt Frost. "However, with that being said you have to give credit to the opposition who stepped up and took our opportunities away from us. We will let it hurt and use it as fuel to get to work preparing to be a Championship team this Spring."

The Bulldogs return to action Nov. 8-10 to conclude their fall season at the Wofford Invitational. Â
