Freddy Murray Named Big South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville sophomore Freddy Murray has been named the Big South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Wednesday, Jan. 24). Â
Murray posted a 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 victory at No. 1 singles over Charlotte's Matias Iturbe on Sunday (Jan. 21), in Asheville's dual match at Charlotte.
This is Murray's first career Player of the Week honor. He is a native of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The Bulldogs return to the courts on Saturday (Jan. 27) to host Young Harris in non-conference action. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. from the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
