09.17.2023 | General, Athletics News

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Athletics has partnered with Athlete's Thread as an online store for merchandise featuring student-athletes' name, image and likeness, announced today (Sunday, Sept. 17).

"This partnership with Athlete's Thread is a great way for our student-athletes to embrace the age of Name, Image and Likeness," said Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "With the items in the store being customizable, any student-athlete can take part in this and seize the opportunity to expand their personal brand. It's also an opportunity for fans to display support for our athletes as individuals."

The store can be found here or at www.uncabulldogs.com, and as more student-athletes take advantage of this the merchandise options will expand.

"We're thrilled to partner with UNC Asheville Athletics and be able to provide a platform for student-athletes to showcase their names, images, and likenesses," said Athlete's Thread CEO Karthik Shanadi. "We believe that every student-athlete has a unique story to tell, and this partnership allows them to share that story through customizable merchandise."

About Athlete's Thread

Athlete's Thread may be a new brand, but the people behind Athlete's Thread are not new to the licensed custom apparel industry. Athlete's Thread is within the Threadly Brand family, which encompasses Greek House, College Thread, Threadly, and Athlete's Thread. Threadly has been a company in the licensing apparel industry since 2013, and Athlete's Thread is the newest addition to the family, focusing on NIL merchandise for every athlete.
