Women's Basketball Releases 2023-24 Non-Conference Schedule

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's basketball revealed its 2023-24 non-conference schedule today (Friday, Sept. 15), for the program's fourth season under Head Coach Honey Brown.
The season begins Nov. 7 on the road at Furman, before the Bulldogs face Tennessee State on Nov. 12 in the home opener. The Bulldogs will travel to Charlotte on Nov. 14, before returning home to face Queens (N.C.) on Nov. 21. Next up for the Bulldogs is the trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico to face Morgan State on Nov. 24 and Western Michigan on Nov. 25. After returning home, Asheville will travel to Wofford on Nov. 29 before taking on Warren Wilson for the program's annual Education Day on Dec. 6. Asheville will hit the road for its next two games, traveling to Western Carolina on Dec. 9 and East Tennessee State on Dec. 14. The non-conference slate concludes with home games against North Carolina Central (Dec. 18), UNC Greensboro (Dec. 21) and Brevard (Dec. 29).
"I am excited about our team and the variations of teams we will be playing in the non-conference this season," said Head Coach Honey Brown. "Our trip to Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving will definitely a highlight and is going to be a great experience on and off the court. We will compete against teams from six different conferences in non-conference play, which will expose us to some great players and schemes that will no doubt get us ready for the Big South."
