BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - UNC Asheville men's tennis fell at Gardner-Webb in Big South Conference action by a score of 4-3 on Thursday (Apr. 6).
Gardner-Webb won the doubles point with two out of three victories for a 1-0 lead, before Asheville's rally fell just short in singles play.
Jon Brann Reid and Rafa Sara captured a 6-2 win over Chrijan Van Wyk and Eduardo Dias at No. 1 doubles in doubles play. Sam Nicholson beat Alex Lepine 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, before Bruno Serra would beat Victor Putter 6-2, 7-5 at No. 5 singles. Freddy Murray would close things out with a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (13-0) win over Sebastian Harris at No. 6 singles.
