McKinley Brooks-Sumpter Named to Big South Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention Team, All-Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville redshirt junior guard McKinley Brooks-Sumpter was named to the Big South Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention Team and the All-Academic Team, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Feb. 28).
Brooks-Sumpter played in 28 games for the Bulldogs during the regular season, starting in 27 of them. She finished the season leading the team in both scoring and rebounding, ranking eighth in the Big South in scoring at 12.8 points per game and seventh in rebounding at 6.5 rebounds per game. Brooks-Sumpter is also second on the team in both assists per game (1.9) and steals per game (1.1).
In the classroom, Brooks-Sumpter posts a 3.33 grade point average as a psychology major.
This is her first career All-Conference selection, as well as her first career All-Academic Team selection. Brooks-Sumpter is a native of Columbia, S.C.
