Bulldogs Cruise Past Tennessee Tech for Non-Conference Win on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville men's tennis cruised past Tennessee Tech for a 6-1 non-conference win on Friday (Feb. 17) at the Asheville Racquet Club.
The Bulldogs took two of three doubles matches for the doubles point, before winning five out of six singles matches in the contest.
Sam Nicholson and Harry Thursfield earned a 6-4 win over Evzen Holis and Paul Ramos Martin at No. 2 doubles, before Bruno Serra and Chester Wickwire picked up a forfeit at No. 3 doubles. Jon Brann Reid defeated Mika Berghaus 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (4-0) at No. 1 singles, while Nicholson went on to beat Elias Grubert 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2. Thursfield beat Holis 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3, before Freddy Murray and Bruno Serra picked up forfeits at No. 5 and No. 6 respectively.
