KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - UNC Asheville Women's Diving wrapped up the first day of the Tennessee Invitational on Wednesday (Nov. 15), with all six divers competing in the three-meter event.
The Bulldogs were paced by a 206.60 from Jade Canady, followed by a 201.00 from Amelia Ward. Leigha Travis posted a 199.45 in the event, while last week's Atlantic Sun Conference Diver of the Week Morgan Coughlen posted a 191.40. Haley Fein scored a 179.50 in the event, while Kindal Culpepper also scored a 170.20.
"Today we competed in the three-meter event against some of the top college divers in the country," said diving coach Matthew Macon. "Our divers worked on polishing their competition list and tweaking some details from last week. To hit the scores we did against this caliber of competition shows how far our program has come, and how we are improving each meet as competitors."
The Bulldog divers return to the boards tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 16) for the platform event. Day two begins at 9:30 a.m. with the early session, followed by the late session beginning at 6:00 p.m. Both sessions will be streamed on SEC Network +.
