11.14.2023 | Women's Basketball
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Basketball has added Jazlyn Ware to its 2024-25 recruiting class, announced today (Tuesday, Nov. 14) by Head Coach Honey Brown. Â
"It is great to have Jazlyn join our Bulldog family," said Coach Brown. "Jazlyn is a tremendous student and was able to graduate a year early. She is someone we identified last spring as being a post player who could thrive in our conference and we were ready for her. Jazlyn is physical, athletic and finds ways to contribute to every team she has been on. Our staff is excited about our new addition!"
Ware is a multi-sport athlete at Stockbridge High School and a native of McDonough, Ga. She has been an All-State selection and a Team MVP in basketball, while also scoring 507 points in her high school career. She has also won a regional championship in the long jump and has been named the team's top field athlete in track and field. Academically, she has been named to the Principal's List twice and is also a member of the National Honor Society.
"I picked UNC Asheville because of the loving environment and homeliness I felt with all of the players and coaches," said Ware. "It also has amazing scenic views and is a smaller campus."
