Cackovic earns second Big South weekly award of the season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Monday (Nov. 13) that UNC Asheville volleyball player Kylie Cackovic has been named the Big South Freshman of the Week.
Cackovic helped Asheville to a four-set victory over USC Upstate on Saturday with 18 kills (4.50 per set), 21.0 points (5.25 per set), 13 digs (3.25 per set) and three service aces.
The Bulldogs won their second set 35-33, a program record for highest-scoring set, in which Cackovic recorded five kills to help lead the team to a bounce back win after dropping the opening set. Asheville went on to win sets three and four to win its final game of the season.
Cackovic finished the season with 189 kills and averaged 2.10 a set.
