Women's Soccer Drops Regular Season Finale to High Point

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Soccer dropped its regular season finale to High Point on Wednesday (Oct. 25) by a score of 2-0. Despite the loss, Asheville notched its first winning season since 2015 with a record of 7-6-4.
Skyler Prillaman Shults got the Panthers on the board in the 11th minute with her first of the season off an assist from Megan Garmey, before Meg Roden scored her second of the season off an assist from Prillaman Shults in the 23rd minute to ultimately bring the match to its final score. Each team registered four shots in the first half, as High Point's lead held strong into the break.
Despite out-shooting High Point 5-2 in the second half, Asheville was unable to find the back of the net.
Asheville edged High Point in the match 9-6 in shots, along with four shots on frame. Taylor Gardner posted two shots in the match, while Barrett Eidson, Anna Doane, Addie Cooper, Ava Bjorkman-Tracy, Kaiya Boyd, Karlee Benz and Nao Kawasaki each had one shot in the match for Asheville. Gracie Murray (5-6-3) made three saves between the pipes.
This concludes the 2023 UNC Asheville Women's Soccer season.
