Bulldogs Cruise Past Radford for Senior Day Victory

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Soccer cruised past Radford for a Senior Day victory by a score of 4-1.
Asheville got the scoring started in the 13th minute, when Conor Behan scored his third of the season off an assist from Sam Pitts-Eckersall, firing a shot through traffic. Behan would extend Asheville's lead in the 22nd minute with his fourth of the season, off an assist from captain Brendan Herb. Radford would get on the scoreboard in the 29th minute with a penalty kick goal from Alex Krayzhev, his third of the season. Asheville would take a 2-1 lead to the half.
Aysa Hamid would score an incredible unassisted goal in the 73rd minute to stretch Asheville's lead, firing a shot through traffic with a rocket to the left corner for his third of the season. Asheville would continue applying pressure in the second half, before senior Justin Fleer was awarded a penalty kick in the 87th minute after a Radford handball in the box. Fleer made the opportunity count on his senior day, scoring his second career goal sending one to the top right corner to bring the match to its final score.
Asheville out-shot Radford 15-6 in the match, including 5-2 in shots on frame. Each team also totaled four corner kicks in the contest. Hamid and Behan each posted a team-high three shots in the match, while Pitts-Eckersall and Sergio Báguena also had two. Aidan Whitlock, Benian Yao, Myles Edmondson, and Fleer each had one shot in the contest. Charlie Farrar (7-3-2) made one save in the contest.
