Asheville Men's Tennis Picked Fifth in the Big South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE
 CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville men's tennis was picked fifth in the 2023 Big South Conference preseason coaches' poll, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Jan. 10).
The Bulldogs advanced to the first round of the Big South Conference Championships a season ago and return three men from last season including All-Conference selection Jon Brann Reid.
Presbyterian took the top spot in the poll with 32 points and three first-place votes, while defending champion Radford was picked second with 27 points and one first-place vote. Conference runner-up Campbell took third with 25 points and one first-place vote, while Gardner-Webb was slated fourth with 19 points and one first-place vote. Asheville was tabbed fifth with 16 points, while Longwood was picked sixth with seven points.
The Bulldogs open their 2023 slate on Jan. 28 against Emmanuel (Ga.). First serve is set for 10:00 a.m. from the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
