Big South announces the 2022 Preseason Volleyball Coaches’ Poll

BIG SOUTH RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference released its annual Preseason Volleyball Coaches' Poll on Wednesday.

Asheville, which compiled an overall record of 6-19 and 4-12 in Big South play last fall, was picked to finish tied for seventh in the poll with 23 points. High Point was selected to win its third straight Big South title with 81 points and collecting all nine first-place votes.

The Bulldogs will have several new faces on the team in 2022. 11 new players joined the program in the offseason to join the five returners. Leading the group of returners are Lexy Cole and Nina Finderle. Cole, who enters her fourth season as a Bulldog, is the team's top returning point scorer from 2021 with 204 points along with being the Bulldogs' top player on the block (75.0 total blocks). Finderle, meanwhile, finished close behind Cole's block total with 71 of her own in her first season with the program.
