RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently announced that the UNC Asheville swimming and diving team has earned Scholar All-America honors for their work in the classroom during the spring semester. The Bulldogs, who posted a team grade-point average of 3.55, have now earned this honor for 20 consecutive semesters.

Teams qualify for recognition if they have a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher for every student-athlete who competed in the designated semester.

"Being recognized by the CSCAA is an honor to our program, the women on the team, and the outstanding professors and instructors at UNC Asheville," said Head Coach Elizabeth Lykins. "This special group of women experienced an incredible season both in the pool and the classroom; our staff is exceptionally proud of them. We also want to thank two special advisors of our team: Ms. Rebecca Nelms, Assistant AD for Student-Athlete Success and Dr. Jeff Wilcox, Faculty Athletic Representative, for their time, energy, and effort."
