Volleyball signs Pelin Aksoy

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Head Volleyball Coach Frederico Santos announced Tuesday the signing of Pelin Aksoy to his team's recruiting class for the upcoming 2022 season. Aksoy is the first signee for the Bulldogs that will join the team next fall. 

Pelin Aksoy – Outside Hitter – 6-0 – Ankara, Turkey
  • Second place in the U17 Turkish National Championship in 2018
  • Best Hitter in the League in 2019
  • Named Best Hitter in High School League in 2019
  • Named Opposite Hitter of the Week this past season in a Turkish League
"Pelin is a fierce competitor and complete volleyball player," Santos said. "She can hit on both pins and is a true six-rotation player. We cannot wait to get her here."
