Women's Basketball Inks Trinity Fields to 2023 Recruiting Class
11.14.2022 | Women's Basketball
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville head women's basketball coach Honey Brown has announced the addition of Trinity Fields (Old Hickory, Tenn.) to her 2023 recruiting class today (Monday, Nov. 14).
Fields was a teammate of current Bulldog Millie Brown at Brentwood Academy, where she was a two-time All-Region player and a 2021 All-State selection. For her career, she averaged 13.6 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game and 2.5 assists per game. She also shot 41 percent from the floor and 37.3 percent from beyond the arc.
"I am very excited that Trinity is a Bulldog," said Brown. "I love her unselfishness and her tireless work ethic. Her defensive tenacity will be a huge asset to our team, along with her versatility on offense. She can play shooting guard and point guard if we need it. Trinity is explosive off the dribble to create for herself and others and is very fundamentally sound. She's also very efficient with three-point shooting which stretches the floor for us. Bulldog fans are going to love her energy."
The Bulldogs return to the hardwood on Friday (Nov. 18) at Queens (N.C.) in non-conference action. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Levine Center in Charlotte, N.C., with the game being streamed on ESPN+. Live stats will also be available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
