Bulldogs open strong in UNCG Fall Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team opened up its fall season on Friday, topping UNCG 6-1.

The Bulldogs swept the doubles matches, as Jon Brann Reid and Harry Thursfield downed their opponents 6-2, while Leo Bierbaum and Sirawit Daosaensawang topped their opponents 6-3. Bruno and Rafa Serra teamed up to sweep their opponents 6-0.

Bran Reid downed his opponent in two sets 7-6, 6-4, while Bierbaum outlased Hugh Knapp 7-5, 4-6, 10-8. Thursfield topped Copper Wyatt 6-0 and was leading 4-1 before Wyatt retired. Quinn Fender came out strong, winning 6-3, 6-0, while Daosaensawang was victorious 6-0, 6-4.
