Trio of Bulldogs receive United Soccer Coaches Player of Distinction Award

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Men's Soccer players Taylor Durall, Larsen Hackworth and Miles Peay were named recipients of the United Soccer Coaches Player of Distinction Award.
The award, which is new this season, was created for its member head coaches to submit deserving player based on one or more of the following criteria:
- Player has achieved quality performance on the field;
- Represented the highest ideals of team leadership;
- Exhibited quality character attributes including sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, officials and the game in general;
- Made other significant contributions to the benefit of the program and the community
Durall, who served as team captain, tied for a team-high three goals in just seven games played, earning Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the process. Hackworth, who filled in as captain when Durall missed time with injury, started all nine games at midfield for the Bulldogs, totaling 784 minutes played which ranked third on the team. Peay, who was named All-Big South and a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Team, started all nine games and ranked third in all of Division I with 0.78 assists per game, totaling seven.
