Bulldog Athletics hosts raffle drawing to support student-athletes

ASHEVILLE N.C. – The UNC Asheville Athletics Department hosted its raffle drawing in support of the Bulldog Athletics Fund at the Brumit Pisgah House on Monday evening, with Chancellor Cable drawing the winning tickets for those who entered.
The raffle, which was held in place of the annual "Our Turn to Play Luncheon," opened on March 16 and was capped off by Monday night's drawing of the winners. In total, $60,000 was raised towards Bulldog scholarships for its student-athletes.
"We are so grateful for the collaborative effort between our Bulldog Athletics Fund board and the Our Turn to Play Committee to make this raffle a success," stated Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "The $60,000 that was raised in the process will directly benefit our 270-plus Bulldog student-athletes. In addition, a special thank you goes out to Don & Alexandra Clayton for their generous gift in support of this event."
