Garcia, Hackworth named to Big South All-Tournament Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South announced its 2021 Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team, with UNC Asheville's Izzy Garcia and Larsen Hackworth earning the honors.
Although the Bulldogs fell to No. 1 High Point (and ultimate champion) in overtime, Garcia and Hackworth played strong games and were key factors to Asheville earning a trip to the Big South Semifinals for the first time since 2018.
In the semifinal matchup, Garcia played a full 92 minutes, registering a shot on goal as Asheville battled the top seed into overtime. On the season, Garcia started all seven games that he played, totaling five shots with three on goal.
A steadying presence at midfield, Hackworth started all nine games for the Bulldogs this season, playing a full 92 minutes at High Point on Wednesday. Hackworth registered a shot on frame against Winthrop, serving as team captain (in the absence of Taylor Durall) for the last two games of the season.
