Pember earns second straight Player of the Week award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second consecutive Monday, UNC Asheville's Drew Pember has been named the Big South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

In two games against UT Martin and ETSU, Pember, who was the first Bulldog to earn the accolade since 2019, averaged 16.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game. Scoring six points and grabbing five rebounds to go with five blocks at UT Martin, Pember had a career day in Saturday's win over ETSU, scoring a career-best 27 points, grabbing seven rebounds and added another four blocks in the process.

With 46 blocks on the season, the Knoxville native currently ranks third in Division I in blocks (46) and blocks per game (3.83), registering two or more blocks in every game this season. The junior leads Asheville with an average of 6.1 rebounds per game, ranking second with an average of 11.3 points per contest.
