Grace Volk named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville volleyball player Grace Volk was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team by the organization on Thursday. It marks the second consecutive season that Volk has achieved this honor.
"We are so happy for Grace being named CoSIDA All-District for the second year in a row," said Head Coach Frederico Santos. "She has such tremendous work ethic and so talented in her field of studies. I know she will continue to excel."
This marks the second academic honor that Volk has earned this week after being named the Big South's Scholar-Athlete of the Year on Wednesday for the second straight season. Volk also received the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship is a national award for an undergraduate student in the natural sciences, engineering, or mathematics last spring.
On the court, Volk appeared in 76 matches and 231 sets during her career as a Bulldog. She racked up 1,579 assists, 92 kills, 45 aces, 508 digs, and 63 total blocks in her time in Asheville. Her assist total ranks ninth all-time in the history of the program.
