UNC Asheville Athletics to hold PEAK Academy Sportsfest presented by First Bank on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Athletics will host a P.E.A.K Academy Sportsfest presented by First Bank on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Karl Straus Track.
The event, organized by UNC Asheville Athletics Marketing and student-athlete Jay Testa, will aim to provide nearly 50 underprivileged students from P.E.A.K Academy a fun, activity-filled morning with Bulldog student-athletes from various teams.
Bulldog student-athletes will serve as "buddies" to P.E.A.K Academy students as they will be divided into smaller groups of five to six people where they will rotate through various stations. The event will commence with a lap around the track led by student-athletes and a welcome from Director of Athletics Janet Cone.
Activities Include:
- Soccer
- Volleyball
- Track
- Basketball
- Ducky bobbing
- Sidewalk chalk
In the event of rain, Sportsfest will take place on the Student Recreation Center Indoor Courts.
