Senior led team in kills, attacks and aces
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville volleyball player Molly Hackett has been named the September "Bulldog of the Month" presented by Zaxby's after pacing the Bulldogs in kills (87), kills per set (3.00), attacks (266), aces (6) in the month of September, while ranking second in digs (73)
A senior from Frankfort, Illinois, Hackett totaled 87 kills in 266 attack attempts, averaging 3.0 kills per set. The outside hitter did well defensively, ranking second on the team in digs and first in aces for the month of September for the Bulldogs.
After her performance at the Aggie/Phoenix Volley for Unity event, Hackett was named to the all-tournament team. In addition to posting three double-doubles this past month, Hackett had a season-high 19 kills to go with 11 digs against North Carolina A&T and followed up with an 18 kill, 10 dig performance against N.C. Central.
The Bulldogs return home this weekend, hosting Gardner-Webb on Friday and Winthrop on Saturday.
