Men’s Tennis completes strong day one of Davidson Invitational

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team opened up play in its weekend tournament on Saturday, sweeping all but two singles matches on day one of the Davidson Fall Invitational.
Jon Brann Reid opened up with a 6-2, 6-3 win and capped off the day with another two-set victory, this time against Gardner-Webb's Crisjan Van Wyk. Leo Bierbaum and Harry Thursfield had similar days, opening with two-set wins over their respective opponents from Queens before topping their counterparts from Gardner-Webb.
Bruno Serra, Rafa Serra and Quinn Fender all picked up singles wins against Queens, each winning in straight sets.
Asheville will close out play Sunday at the Davidson Invitational. Full results and scores will be posted on uncabulldogs.com.
