Ethan Tressler selected to Big South Baseball All-Academic Team

CHARLOTTE – Ethan Tressler of the UNC Asheville baseball team was one of 10 student-athletes to be named to the 2020 Big South Baseball All-Academic Team on Monday afternoon.
During his junior season, Tressler made nine relief appearances for the Bulldogs in 2020, logging 4.1 innings. The Gallatin, Tennessee native did not give up a run and surrendered just one hit, while striking out six during the shortened season.
Tressler is majoring in economics at UNC Asheville and holds a 3.494-grade point average.
The Big South Baseball All-Academic Team consists of one student-athlete from each institution that meets the criteria of having completed at least one academic year at the institution, maintains at least a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average, and is of sophomore standing (academically and athletically). The team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year award are selected by the Big South Conference Sports Information Directors. This year's team combined for a 3.79 GPA, and is as follows:
