CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women's basketball senior Brooke Jordan-Brown and junior Nadiria Evans each earned Big South Honorable Mention honors as the Big South Conference announced their annual All-Conference selections, Monday.

Additionally, Jordan-Brown was also named to the Big South All-Academic team.

Jordan-Brown has been the top rebounder in the Big South Conference this season as she closed out the regular season leading the conference in total rebounds (305), defensive rebounds (192), offensive rebounds (113) and rebounds per game (10.5).

The senior center found another gear once Big South Conference play began as she has averaged 12.2 rebounds and 9.5 points per game through the conference season. She secured a career-high 23 rebounds versus Presbyterian on Dec. 28 to open conference play. Her 23 rebounds were only five short of the UNC Asheville Division I and Big South Conference single game record.

Jordan-Brown has twice amassed the 20 rebound total this season and has scored 20+ points once this season. The Greenville, S.C. native has secured eight double-doubles this season and has corralled 10 or more rebounds in 16 games. She has scored 10 or more points in nine games this season.

On Jan. 21, Jordan-Brown became the 19th person in UNC Asheville history to reach 500 career rebounds. She currently has 632 career rebounds and her 305 rebounds in the 2019-20 season is only 15 short of breaking the UNC Asheville single season record.

Jordan-Brown was also named to the Big South All-Academic team as the senior currently has a 3.98 GPA and is on track to graduate with a degree in Health and Wellness promotion in May. It is the second straight season that Jordan-Brown has received Big South All-Academic honors.

Evans is currently seventh in the Big South with 15 points a game throughout conference play. The junior guard has scored 299 points through 20 Big South Conference games this season. She has a .424 field goal percentage versus Big South opponents this season.

The Gainesville, Fla. native has scored 20 or more points in seven games this season and has scored in double-figures 21 times this season. Only eight times this season has an opposing defense kept Evans under the 10 point mark.

Evans has scored 422 points overall this season and has a .433 field goal percentage through UNC Asheville's 29 regular season games. She has also amassed over 120 rebounds and over 50 assists this season.

The junior guard scored a career-high 26 points versus Radford on Jan. 11. Evans secured her first career double-double versus Hampton on Feb. 1 as she scored 21 points and corralled a career-high 11 rebounds.
