Brooke Jordan-Brown Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, IND. – UNC Asheville women's basketball senior Brooke Jordan-Brown was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team as a first team recipient, as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. The first team recipients were announced, Friday, February 20.

Jordan-Brown a center from Greenville, S.C., is a representative on the District Three team, which encompasses student-athletes competing at universities in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Brooke is pursuing a degree in Health and Wellness Promotion and is on track to graduate in May with a 3.98 GPA.

Jordan-Brown has started all 25 games for the Bulldogs this season and has averaged 7.3 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. Her 10.3 rebounds per game currently lead the Big South Conference as do her 257 total rebounds this season.

Jordan-Brown has been amongst the best rebounders in the nation this season as she currently ranks in the top 25 in three rebounding categories: Rebounds per game (25th), Total Rebounds (20th) and Offensive Rebounds per game (15th).

Academic All-District nominees get added to the ballot for Academic All-America, which is announced in March.

The 2019-20 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
