Bulldogs Wrap Up Day Two at Seahawks Fall Invitational

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNC Asheville's men's tennis team completed its second day of competition, Saturday, at the Southern Exposure Sunrooms Seahawks Fall Invitational, hosted by UNC Wilmington.
After an opening loss in the Flight A singles bracket, Oli Nolan responded nicely with a straight-sets victory, 6-2, 6-3, against fourth-seeded Brian Berdusco of Florida in the back draw of the bracket.
Freshman Harry Thursfield also responded after dropping his opening match, defeating Daniel Stenger of Presbyterian, 7-5, 6-3 in the back draw of Flight C singles. Finlay Ray McFadyen defeated Teodro Cariov of Presbyterian, 7-5, 6-2, in the back draw of Flight D1 while Edward Colclough took down Jacob Wall of George Washington, 6-2, 6-2, in the back draw of Flight D2.
Nolan, Thursfield, McFadyen and Colclough will compete in the back draw finals of their flights, Sunday.
After an opening match doubles victory, Nolan and Thursfield were tripped up by Florida's third-seeded duo of Duarte Vale and Blaise Bicknell, 6-4. They will face off against Florida's Brian Berdusco and Josh Goodger, Sunday, in the third-place match.
After a bye in the Flight C doubles back draw, Leo Birbaum and Charlie Morkel will play in the back draw final on Sunday, as well.
