UNC Asheville Named to the Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll List by the WBCA

ATLANTA – The UNC Asheville women's basketball team was named to the NCAA Division I Academic Top 25 team honor roll list by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
The Bulldogs cumulative team GPA for the 2018-19 school year was 3.505.
This is the second time in the last three years that Brenda Kirkpatrick Brown's squad has achieved the Academic Top 25 by the WBCA. UNC Asheville was No. 10 in the country in the 2016-17 season.
UNC Asheville women's basketball has also received NCAA Public Recognition Award for High Academic Achievement every year since 2015.
The Bulldogs finished the 2018-19 season with 17 wins. This was the fourth consecutive year that UNC Asheville has accumulated 17 or more wins. The Bulldogs have also made a postseason appearance in three straight years.
