2019 Bulldog Athletic Association Scholarship Golf Classic Will be Held Aug. 26-27

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The 2019 Bulldog Athletic Association Scholarship Golf Classic will be held Aug. 26-27 at The Country Club of Asheville.
The annual event sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians raises scholarship money for the UNC Asheville Athletics Annual Scholarship Fund.Â
"Because the state of North Carolina does not supply funds to support University Athletics, it is very important that the community generously supports the student-athletes, especially with scholarship funds which they would not otherwise have," says Vice-Chair of the Bulldog Athletic Association Board, Tom Bowles. "The BAA golf outing is critical to raising those scholarship funds and deserves and gets tremendous community support. The event is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to interact with student-athletes and coaches," says Bowles.
"The Bulldog Athletic Association Scholarship Golf Classic is our biggest fundraising event each year for scholarships for our Bulldog student-athletes," says Betsy Blose who assists with overseeing UNC Asheville Athletics Advancement and Annual Giving. Blose goes on to say, "It is so exciting to see local businesses and community members come out each and every year to participate. Their passion for UNC Asheville and our students is touching and so appreciated."
The Bulldog Athletic Association Scholarship Golf Classic is one of the best ways to support the student-athletes of UNC Asheville each year.

                                    *Eligible to receive two basketball Hospitality Passes, $1500 towards                                       BAA benefits and an invitation to special events.
Individual Golfer                   $500 ($375 tax deductible)

Registration includes: green and cart fees, lunch, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks as well as the following prizes:
