Fourth-Seeded Bulldogs to Face Fifth-Seeded Gardner-Webb in Quarterfinals of Big South Tournament on Thursday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's basketball team will be the fourth seed in the 2019 Big South Women's Basketball Championship.
As the fourth seed, UNC Asheville women's basketball will take on fifth-seeded Gardner-Webb at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, on the campus of Radford. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3.
The regular-season champion Highlanders are the host of Pod A of the championship. High Point as the No. 2 seed is the host of Pod B.
As the host in Pod A, Radford will play the winner of eighth-seeded Winthrop-ninth-seeded Presbyterian College at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. The winner of that game will meet the winner of the UNC Asheville-Gardner-Webb game in the semifinals at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 15.
The championship game of the 2019 Big South Women's Basketball Tournament will be held on the campus of the highest remaining seed at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.
The 2018-19 UNC Asheville women's basketball team enters the Big South Tournament owning a 16-13 record overall. The Bulldogs finished league play with a record of 11-7.
The Bulldogs have played in the last three Big South Tournament championship games.
