Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association Doubles Rankings

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – For the third consecutive ranking the UNC Asheville doubles duo of Oli Nolan and Henry Patten have remained No. 1 in the country.

The No. 1 ranking is the highest doubles ranking in Big South tennis history and it is the highest a Bulldog tennis duo has ever been ranked.

The pairing originally moved up from No. 2 to No. 1 nationally in the Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings in the Feb. 6 poll. Coming out of the fall, Nolan and Patten were ranked second in the poll that was released on Nov. 14, 2018.

Nolan and Patten went undefeated playing together during the fall and won three titles including the national championship victory at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.

This spring so far the duo is 7-0. Patten is also a perfect 6-0 in singles, while Nolan has five wins in singles.

The undefeated UNC Asheville men's tennis team (10-0) will next look to carry their dominance into a five-match, seven-day road trip March 9-15. The Bulldogs will compete against College of Charleston, FAU, Stetson, FGCU and Boston University.
