UNC Asheville Men’s Tennis to Host Chattanooga on Sunday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville men's tennis is set to host Chattanooga on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
The undefeated Bulldogs opened the season with home wins versus Mars Hill and Lenoir-Rhyne before getting two road victories versus George Mason and ECU. The Bulldogs returned home on Wednesday, Feb. 6, to beat Tusculum to go a perfect 5-0 so far in the spring season.
Sunday's match against Chattanooga will be played indoors.

No. 1 in the Nation
The national championship-winning doubles pairing of Oli Nolan and Henry Patten have moved up to No. 1 nationally in the latest Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings that were released on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019.
The duo of Nolan and Patten are currently undefeated on the 2018-19 season. The duo is 2-0 this spring.
Nolan and Patten secured a national championship on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, with a 6-2, 6-1 win over then nationally 42nd-ranked Bjorn Thomson and Parker Wynn of Texas Tech in the championship match of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.

Bulldogs Helping Out in the Community
During UNC Asheville's 5-2 win over Lenoir-Rhyne, the 2019 Fed Cup ball kids had the chance to have a full run through ahead of the 2019 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas in Asheville at the U.S. Cellular Center on Feb. 9 and 10.

Inaugural Tennis Kickoff Reception a Huge Success
The UNC Asheville tennis programs are an incredibly important part of the athletics department and the Asheville community, but there is always room for more people to learn about Bulldog tennis.
For this reason, UNC Asheville tennis held their inaugural Tennis Kickoff Reception at the home of Ron and Nancy Edgerton.
The event was a special meet and greet designed to allow individuals to learn more about the UNC Asheville men's and women's tennis student-athletes and coaches.

Scouting Chattanooga
Chattanooga is 2-3 on the early season. The Mocs opened the season going 0-3 in three straight road games before returning home this past weekend, getting two victories versus North Alabama and Austin Peay.
