Undefeated Nolan and Patten Remain No. 1 in Latest National Doubles Rankings

Intercollegiate Tennis Association Doubles Rankings (2/20/19)
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The national championship-winning doubles duo of Oli Nolan and Henry Patten remained No. 1 in the latest Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings that were released on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019.
The Bulldog duo has now been ranked No. 1 in the country in the last two national rankings. The No. 1 ranking is the highest doubles ranking in Big South tennis history and it is the highest a Bulldog tennis duo has ever been ranked.
The pairing moved up from No. 2 to No. 1 nationally in the Feb. 6 poll. Coming out of the fall, Nolan and Patten were ranked second in the poll that was released on Nov. 14, 2018.
Nolan and Patten went undefeated playing together during the fall and won three titles including the national championship victory at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.Â
This spring so far the duo is 4-0. Patten is also a perfect 4-0 in singles, while Nolan is 3-1.
As a team, UNC Asheville men's tennis is presently a perfect 7-0. The undefeated Bulldogs have two home matches at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown this weekend. The Bulldogs will first host North Carolina Central at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, before playing host to Mountain Rival Appalachian State at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24.
