UNC Asheville Set for Rematch with USC Upstate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNC Asheville's volleyball team continues its three-week Big South Conference road trip when it travels to USC Upstate for a 2 p.m., Saturday, matchup with the Spartans.
The Bulldogs (7-8, 2-3 Big South) opened the conference season at home against USC Upstate (6-11, 2-3 Big South), defeating the Spartans, 3-1, at the Justice Center, September 28. Senior Ansley Rooks led the way with a career-best 17 kills and a season-high 15 digs, while senior Julia Borges finished with 13 kills and 13 digs.
The senior duo has paced the Bulldogs offensively this season, as Borges leads the team with 142 kills and 176.5 points scored. Defensively, she leads the team with 39 total blocks and is second with 155 digs. Rooks is second on the team with 131 kills and 140.5 points, and she is third in digs with 142.
Sophomore Molly Hackett is third on the team with 119 kills and 131.5 points, while senior Kailey Hackett leads the team with 260 assists. Sophomore Grace Volk has also eclipsed the 200-assist mark, as she has 203.
Defensively, junior Kasey West leads the team with 187 digs, while junior Cecilia Stack is second on the team with 28 total blocks.
